His stories have included pieces about drug dealing and gangs in Central America and the increasingly authoritarian nature of the current regime, which has sent criminals, political enemies, and the press to prison. Hector’s work includes stories in a wide variety of Latin American publications. He holds a master’s degree, earned in Barcelona, and was once the top editor of his country’s leading paper, La Prensa Grafica.
