Alumni

The majority of the Alfred Friendly Press Partners alumni are still working for news organizations in their home countries or reporting in critical regions of the world for outlets like The Associated Press, BBC, Reuters, Bloomberg and the Washington Post.

After leaving reporting, more than a dozen fellows have gone on to become managing editors and editor-in-chiefs at national news outlets in countries including Russia, Colombia and Egypt.

Others lead international news agencies like Yahoo News in Arabic. Some alumni have founded organizations that champion freedom of the press, like the Center for Investigative Reporting in Pakistan and the Free Journalists Club in Vietnam.
