By giving to our program, you help us grow the network of journalists around the globe that have benefited from six months of training and mentoring at major newsrooms in the United States.

Your continued interest reaffirms for us just how important this fellowship can be to the career of a dedicated journalist and to the profession of journalism in his or her home country.

More than 300 aspiring and inspiring journalists from 80 countries have graduated from the Alfred Friendly program since 1984. Our plan is to enhance the program and expand the training opportunities in the United States and abroad to improve professional journalism across the globe.
