University Partnership

Alfred Friendly Press Partners is housed in the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism, located in Columbia between St. Louis and Kansas City, and the Alfred Friendly Foundation has a formal partnership with the university.

The Missouri School of Journalism, founded in 1908, is the world’s first journalism school and consistently is ranked at No.1 in the country. Today, some of the best journalists in the world have learned their profession through the Missouri Method, which provides practical hands-on training in real-world news media. Students staff a daily community newspaper, a network affiliated television station, a radio station affiliated with National Public Radio, a weekly magazine and a converged newsroom that covers international issues.
